Dior and the Olympic Magic in Paris with Silvia Braz
Silvia Braz and the dazzling Spring-Summer 2025 show of Maison Dior
The Paris haute couture fashion week is a show in itself, a stage where creativity and sophistication meet. This year, until June 27, the French capital becomes the epicenter of elegance with 26 brands presenting their Spring-Summer 2025 collections. Among so many shows, the most anticipated was that of the iconic Maison Christian Dior, which brought together celebrities such as Silvia Braz, Jennifer Lopez and Venus Williams.
Silvia Braz, chosen as the Brazilian representative, shared her impressions enthusiastically: “It is one of the most anticipated and awaited shows and my first show of the haute couture season. Upon arrival, Rodin’s sculpture ‘The Kiss’ welcomes us to the show held in the museum. I was impressed by the use of jersey, a fabric with elastane in haute couture. It’s something new, but in Maria Grazia’s hands it becomes the most beautiful thing.”
Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s creative director, celebrated the union of sport and fashion, influenced by the Olympic Games soon to arrive in Paris. The collection featured racerback cuts and swimsuits, accompanied by robes and draped dresses that evoke swimmers and athletic garments of ancient Greece, in a reverence to the origins of the Olympics.
Draped pieces and pleated dresses, gladiator sandals, fringe and sheer elements compose a collection that is a true ode to Athens. The colors white and black, complemented by silver, gold and bronze fabrics, reference the materials of the Olympic medals, creating a palette that exudes power and grace.
Each piece of the Dior Spring-Summer 2025 collection reveals a harmony between tradition and innovation, transforming fabrics and shapes into true works of art.
In every detail, Maria Grazia Chiuri invites us to celebrate the beauty of movement, the strength of the Olympic spirit and the eternal elegance of haute couture.
