The Woodward: your home in the heart of Geneva

Around the Mont Blanc and Geneva lakes is where you’ll find the historic post-Haussmann–style building that, since September 2021, has become home to The Woodward, the Oetker Collection’s new 5-star hotel promising to be a true lakeside residence for your stay in one of Switzerland’s most enchanting cities.

Originally built in 1901 by the French architect François Durel, the building that houses The Woodward was formerly called L’Hôtel Bellevue. The venue hosted heads of state, royalty, and artists from all over the world. Later, the space became a private bank until it was acquired by the Bastion Holdings group to become Geneva’s most anticipated hotel.

The task of renovating and transforming the building into a cozy and welcoming place fell to world-renowned architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, who preserved all the refined yet contemporary Belle Époque details that now give the hotel its unique charm. The 26 suites that make up The Woodward have been artfully arranged and decorated with highly sophisticated design, enhancing the venue’s enchanting experience.

The hotel also features two gourmet restaurants led by Michelin-starred chefs Oliver Jean and Alain Vezeroli, both renowned for their innovative dishes that combine expert technique, unique flavors, and photo-worthy presentations to capture the moment forever.

To make the experience at The Woodward even more special and unique, the hotel houses a Guerlain Spa location that is always ready to welcome both international guests and local Geneva residents seeking first-class hospitality.
