The city of São Paulo has been treated to countless wonders lately, such as the Bruno Covas Park which will feature decks, floating walkways, and beach tennis courts. Even after the pandemic, the gastronomic industry hasn’t stopped growing; just last month 15 new establishments opened – the city is coming back with its former energy.

What is most enchanting, however, are the businesses that have remained strong and continue to attract thousands of tourists to the city, such as Hotel Emiliano. Perhaps the best example of contemporary luxury in the city.
A true gem embedded on the busy and cosmopolitan Rua Oscar Freire, in the exclusive Jardins neighborhood, the slender and gleaming tower rises above the boutiques, galleries, and various hotspots. The hotel opened its doors in 2001 and yet today is recognized for its timeless design, characterized by its minimalist decor and bold, striking art pieces.
Walking through the lobby with its tall and majestic ceiling, the Cocoon sculpture by artist Siron Franco stands out, while Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana also contributed with spectacular, breathtaking pieces.
Then moving on to the Lobby Bar, with plenty of natural light, locals and guests enjoy drinks like the Guava Negroni, a delicious combination of guava infusion with vermouth rosso and Campari. The appetizers to whet the appetite before dinner offer Brazilian gastronomy options such as the Cheese and Brazilian Honey Board or a mix of Italy and Brazil if you decide on the Caprese Pastry. With a sophisticated and tranquil space, guests are invited here to a welcome drink upon arrival – also complimentary.
Next door, the Emiliano Restaurant showcases the talent of chef Breno Berdu, who emphasizes the use of fresh ingredients, highlighting natural flavors like pirarucu with smoked vegetables.
After that feast, nothing beats taking a relaxing bath after a long day in a bathroom all clad in Carrara marble, under a special high-pressure shower that simulates a massage, and then diving into a beautiful king-size bed with soft, fragrant sheets.
There are only 56 rooms, allowing the hotel’s high-class team to address guests by name, know their favorite flowers, and anticipate reservations at the best restaurants. Very close to the hotel you have options like Rodeio, Makoto, the newly opened Caviar Káspia, and Gero Panini.
And for those who don’t want to leave the hotel (I don’t blame you!), the Emiliano Spa is truly in a class of its own; in the midst of a bustling city, guests and clients find an urban refuge there. We Brazilians are renowned worldwide for lymphatic drainage, which helps with circulation and also helps eliminate possible fluid retention after a long flight. But if the idea is simply to unwind, enter an alpha state with a shiatsu massage, reflexology, or aromatherapy.
