Where to Eat and Drink

Lure Fish Bar

Why we love it: Lure is a restaurant I love because it has a bit of everything—the place is interesting, the location is great, and the food is simply wonderful. Even though it’s located in an attic, the restaurant’s concept is very intriguing and draws a crowd. Imagine a boat where you have to go down stairs to access the interior; Lure was designed to give you that feeling. Keep in mind that despite its popularity and the fact that reservations are always necessary, it’s a spot you must visit when you’re here.

Our tips: Try the Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Lychee Martini, my favorite food and drink at the restaurant.

Indochine

Why we love it: Indochine always has the most influential people dining there and you can bet that when you go, you’re very likely to come across a celebrity, as the place is considered a hub for these stars, especially those from the fashion and art worlds. The venue is also known as one of the official meeting spots of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Our tips: Don’t miss the Steamed Chilean Sea Bass, and when it comes to drinks, Indochine is another perfect spot to order a Lychee Martini.

Balthazar

Why we love it: The restaurant has even won a consistency award, meaning it always uses the same suppliers and ingredients, ensuring you’ll never have a different experience when you dine there; it’s a place where the quality of both the food and the ambiance is guaranteed.

Our tips: Try the classic Balthazar Burger.

Sant Ambroeus

Why we love it: Sant Ambroeus is a restaurant known for presenting Italy in a very interesting and unique way, different from what we’re used to, which makes it truly special. It’s frequented by influential figures from the fashion world like Anna Wintour and several models during NYFW.

Our tips: The Bolognese pasta is the standout dish on their pasta and wine menu, which is also amazing and worth ordering.

Cipriani

Why we love it: Cipriani Downtown offers the classic drinks from Italy’s Harry’s Bar, and all the classic dishes served at the restaurant can not only be enjoyed on-site but are also available for takeout and delivery.

Our tips: Menu favorites include the Prosciutto Tagliolini, the classic sparkling Bellini, and of course, the freshly made gelato, which is wonderful.

Mamo

Why we love it: Mamo, a restaurant that has been around for almost 8 years, is the best place to eat truffle pizza in New York. Additionally, the restaurant offers other classic French and Italian dishes that are delicious and truly special.

Our tips: Don’t miss the carciofi alla Juliet, an Italian dish made famous by the Jewish communities in Italy. And of course, the vanilla cake is a must-eat to end the night.

Where to Stay

The Carlyle

Why we love it: Considered the ultimate “Home Away From Home” for various celebrities and icons like Jackie Kennedy, the Carlyle is one of the city’s greatest classics. In the heart of the Upper East Side, the hotel is legendary for its first-class amenities and unique spaces.

The Mark

Why we love it: The Mark is The Best Place To Be during the annual MET Ball, as many celebrities stay and prepare for the big event there. Iconic for its service and numerous hotspots, the hotel has 106 rooms and 47 suites ready to welcome you.

The Four Seasons Downtown

Why we love it: The Four Seasons Downtown is one of the highlights of our list. Besides serving as the backdrop for the Lifestyle Mag shoot with Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, the hotel is a great option for those looking to explore more of Soho, West Village, and the surrounding areas of the Big Apple.
