When the word “luxury” and the accessories “suitcase” or “bag” come together in a single phrase, certainly one name appears in your mind: Louis Vuitton. The glamorous brand holds a special place in the imagination of a large part of the world’s population, because it has captured its audience so efficiently and strategically that it is impossible to think of these accessories without recalling the luxury label.

To celebrate the spirit of travel, Louis Vuitton’s new campaign aims to honor the iconic Horizon collection. The Maison’s creations accompany intrepid souls across space and time, beyond the realm of possibilities. The renowned fashion house responsible for the art of travel shared its enthusiasm for innovation with Marc Newson, and the result was the creation of a wheeled trunk for the twenty-first-century traveler.

Widely regarded as the most influential industrial designer of his generation, Marc Newson has worked across various sectors, from aerospace and technology to furniture and fashion. His debut collaboration with Louis Vuitton, “Celebrating Monogram” in 2014, resulted in “the best contemporary backpack” in vibrant, playful colors. Since then, Marc Newson has designed and created many of the Maison’s essential items, including the Horizon Soft wheeled suitcase (2019) in thermoformed mesh and an elegant modernization of the Pégase suitcase (2022).

First introduced in 2016, the now-iconic Horizon collection by Marc Newson represents a true milestone in Louis Vuitton’s luggage creations, featuring ingenious designs, enhanced durability, and elevated functionality. Inspired by the Maison’s trunks, the Horizon is the first suitcase with four silent 360° wheels and a completely flat back panel, allowing the interior space to be optimized with the design of an expanded external handle.

Between airplanes, airport terminals, and an iconic Louis Vuitton trunk, football legend Lionel Messi is captured by photographer and filmmaker Glen Luchford, documenting the path to his next destination, accompanied by his Horizon luggage. Emblematic of the Maison’s heritage, the Louis Vuitton Horizon line offers unprecedented perspectives and infinite freedom.

“Para mim, o horizonte é olhar para o futuro, deixar-me levar pela imaginação e pensar no que pode acontecer, no que o futuro nos reserva – em todas as suas possibilidades”, afirma o jogador.

In Brazil, Louis Vuitton has been present for 26 years. Since opening its first store in the country in 1989, in São Paulo, the brand has consistently held events in the region. Exact figures are unknown, but it is estimated that the brand’s profit across all stores in Brazil exceeds 20 million dollars.
