Chloé Reveals Its Collaboration with Atelier Jolie

Maison Chloé unveils an exclusive women's clothing collection in partnership with Atelier Jolie, combining fluid silhouettes and elegant fabrics. This timeless evening collection celebrates authentic feminine connections.

The Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection is the result of a collaboration between Chloé and the founder of Atelier Jolie, Angelina Jolie, a renowned filmmaker and humanitarian. This collection is a celebration of the shared commitments of Chloé and Atelier Jolie to social and environmental sustainability, while supporting artisans and makers around the world. It is produced with surplus materials and natural fabrics such as organic silk, organic crepe de chine, and certified wool, ensuring that at least 80% of the materials have a reduced environmental impact—a proportion higher than previous B Corp–certified collections by the Maison. Additionally, the collection is manufactured following Chloé’s social origin framework and establishes partnerships with organizations such as Akanjo, a social enterprise certified by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) based in Madagascar, and La Fabrique Nomade, a program in Paris that promotes the professional inclusion of refugee and migrant artisans in France. More than half of the collection is produced by fair trade companies, social enterprises, or socially oriented sources.

The collection spans a wide variety of pieces, including elegant dresses, relaxed tailoring, sophisticated coats, and lightweight pieces for luxurious layering. It was developed in Chloé’s atelier by former creative director Gabriela Hearst, in collaboration with Angelina Jolie, combining Chloé’s feminine essence with high-quality craftsmanship and the minimalist refinement that characterizes Jolie’s style. Inspired by femininity in all its forms, the collection references iconic pieces from Jolie’s personal wardrobe, such as an embroidered white cotton dress she wore as a child and now wears as a top, as well as a black velvet cape. The collection’s color palette is predominantly neutral, designed to flatter a variety of skin tones, and the sizing accommodates diverse body types.

Feminine strength is subtly expressed through voluminous silhouettes and fluid fabrics. One example is the long black velvet cape, which lends a modern and elegant touch to the attire. A fluid white dress with a gathered neckline, made from surplus micro sable silk, offers a contemporary approach to the day-to-night transition. The Maison’s classic lavallière blouse, crafted from surplus hammered silk, pairs perfectly with tailored black velvet trousers. Additionally, an elegant three-piece black suit made from surplus wool gabardine proves that simplicity is timeless.

The Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection also reflects the spirit of Atelier Jolie, a creative collective founded by Angelina Jolie in 2023 with the aim of providing learning opportunities for refugees and other talented, underrepresented groups. In this context, the shell mesh embroidery for a white cotton top was developed in partnership with La Fabrique Nomade, a Paris-based social initiative that promotes the professional inclusion of refugee and migrant artisans in France. Furthermore, the proceeds from this collaboration will be used to create learning opportunities and infrastructure for refugees and underrepresented groups at Atelier Jolie.

The Chloé x Atelier Jolie collection will be available in January 2024 at Chloé boutiques and online at Chloe.com.
