The renowned Swiss watchmaker Breitling is proud to present the latest addition to its iconic Avenger watch line. With over two decades of history at the vanguard of aerial adventure, the Avenger continues to impress with its bold design, exceptional durability and extreme functionality.
The new collection, launched in September 2023, reinterprets the classic Avenger with a renewed focus on sophisticated military detailing and wear-resistant materials. The highlight is the powerful in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, featured in the chronograph models, further raising the performance bar.
Breitling’s connection to the aviation world dates back to the 1930s, when Willy Breitling founded the HUIT Aviation Department. This unique heritage, combined with the expertise gained in the early days of military aviation, resulted in world-renowned watches such as the Navitimer, AVI Co-Pilot, Aerospace, Emergency and the Avenger.
Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, highlights the new collection’s proposition: “The Avenger was designed to withstand the extreme conditions of a fighter jet cockpit and support pilots in their daily challenges. One should expect nothing less from its new iteration. This collection combines full performance with a modern, sophisticated aviation style.”
The new Avenger watch range arrives in three distinct formats:
The Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 stands out with the power of the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, offering a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and a five-year warranty. COSC-certified, it reveals its precise mechanics through a transparent sapphire crystal caseback. With colored dials and stainless steel rotating bezels, this model is the perfect choice for those seeking functionality and style.
The Avenger Night Mission, available with a vibrant yellow or carbon black dial, features a case and bezel constructed entirely from scratch-resistant ceramic. The dial numerals ensure superior legibility, especially on the black dial, which is made of specially resilient carbon fiber.
Appreciated by pilots and frequent travelers, the Avenger Automatic GMT 44 features a red GMT hand for quick Zulu time reading, along with a 24-hour rotating bezel. Available with black or navy blue dials, this model is powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 32, providing a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and a two-year warranty.
This well-balanced watch retains all the Avenger line’s robustness in a 42 mm case. Available in black, navy blue or military green, the Avenger Automatic 42 offers options of a military leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. Its three-hand automatic movement, Caliber 17, is COSC-certified, delivering up to 38 hours of power reserve with a two-year warranty.
The choice of materials such as carbon fiber, titanium and steel reflects Breitling’s aviation heritage. Lightness, strength and durability are the essential characteristics of the Avenger, designed to face extreme challenges just like the jets in which they fly.
The new Avengers can be seen in an exciting campaign on the wrist of the Patrouille Suisse aerobatic team, highlighting the true natural habitat of these aerial performance watches.
