A Toast to Time

The Macallan returns to JK Iguatemi with an immersive pop-up that combines Scottish tradition, contemporary design, and experiences celebrating 201 years of legacy

São Paulo receives, once again, a rare invitation to cross the boundaries of time and flavor. The Macallan, a legendary name among Scotch single malts, inaugurates the second edition of its pop-up at JK Iguatemi Mall. A space that goes beyond showcasing bottles, embodying a philosophy of life: the celebration of mastery, design, and hospitality.

In this season, the house expands its horizons. The environment gains scope, textures, and subtleties that echo the architecture of the Scottish distillery in the Highlands and the landscapes of the Jerez Triangle, the land where centuries-old casks rest, giving life to the whisky’s unmistakable notes. It is the Timeless Collection, signed by design master David Carson, that inspires the gaze: a visual reinterpretation of the brand’s most iconic expressions, balancing tradition and modernity as only two centuries of history could sustain.

The return to São Paulo is no mere coincidence. The city, with its cultural, gastronomic, and cosmopolitan pulse, becomes the perfect stage for the brand that understands time not as a chronological measure but as heritage and memory. Tiago Serrano, Country Manager of The Macallan in Brazil, conveys the essence of the initiative: “It’s an audience that values legacy and meaningful experiences. Returning to São Paulo reinforces our confidence in this connection.”

Upon entering the space, the visitor is invited to slow down. Amid textures, aromas, and glasses, rituals unfold that go beyond tasting: they are experiences that touch the senses, create new stories, and rebuild the intimate relationship between drink, design, and art. Expressions like Double Cask, Sherry Oak, and Harmony Collection reveal themselves as chapters of a narrative that begins in the silence of the casks and unfolds in contemporary celebrations.

More than a meeting point, the pop-up becomes an aesthetic manifesto. It is a space for contemplation, where wood, light, and glass meet as architectural elements of a living artwork. It is also a space of hospitality, with private events, meetings with partners, and moments designed to create memories. The expectation is to welcome over 1,200 visitors throughout the four months, in journeys that combine curiosity and contemplation.

Not by chance, São Paulo was already the setting for the first edition, extended beyond what was planned due to the public’s enthusiasm. Now, the invitation is renewed: to experience time in its liquid form, and to realize that in every sip, there is a landscape, an artisanal gesture, a 201-year story.

The pop-up opens its doors on the ground floor of JK Iguatemi starting September 3, reaffirming Brazil as a strategic priority for the brand and a fertile territory for encounters where tradition and the future walk side by side.

The Macallan doesn’t just offer a whisky. It offers the rare experience of feeling time — and toasting with it.
