Juan de Dios is a brand inspired by the magnificent tropical landscapes of Colombia, where the jungle meets the ocean and transports us to an earthly paradise. This goes beyond being just a beachwear brand; it is an expression of style that allows women to feel confident, elegant, and empowered. The brand features garments made through artisanal methods, such as embroidery and other handmade pieces. Likewise, it is committed to the environment, using sustainable fabrics made from Econyl, a material produced from waste nylon nets recovered from the ocean, transformed and regenerated, inviting its customers to be part of the shift toward a more conscious world.
In its new collection, inspired by the city of Golconda, a ruined fortress in India’s central region known for its treasures, located 11 kilometers from Hyderabad in the state of Andhra Pradesh—and also inspired by the book Passion India, written by Javier More—“La Golconda” reflects the remarkable extravagance of the last maharajas. Narrating the story of Anita, a beautiful Spanish flamenco dancer who falls in love with an Indian prince, the collection is an invitation to dive into the heart of India: a world of color and luxury.
With a curated selection of basic pieces to introduce into the wardrobe, each item reflects a blend of neutral and pastel tones combined with innovative silhouettes and craftsmanship.
The original Indian prints, hand-painted, were rendered on silk, linen, and organic cotton. Highlighting the period’s magnificent quality, the collection features stunning sequins in the prints and hand-embroidered details. The swimwear and resortwear styles are elevated by braided cuts and the iconic jungle print. The collection is brought to life by Maria Valencia, creative director, who intuitively explores form, pattern, color, and luminosity in every composition.
Over the last three years, Juan De Dios has established itself as a brand with true essence.
