Muse of music and fashion: IZA is announced by FENDI as Brand Ambassador in Brazil

The Italian brand was founded in the city of Rome in 1925 and began as a small shop, a family business producing handcrafted fur and leather goods. The fashion house was launched in 1925 by the couple Edoardo Fendi and Adele Casagrande as a fur and leather store on Via del Plebiscito in Rome. It quickly gained acceptance among the Italian high bourgeoisie, leading to the opening of a new branch also in Rome.

The open doors of the FENDI boutique in Brazil demonstrate the brand’s relationship with Brazilian women. This relationship is long-standing, as it is believed to stem from the shared sense of personality—an outstanding trait among Brazilian women who love luxury and insist on pieces that reflect their way of acting and thinking.

There’s no one better than a Brazilian with style and personality to represent this bond! FENDI announces singer IZA, one of Brazil’s most multifaceted artists, as the newest member of the brand’s ambassador team. The partnership between IZA and FENDI debuted in November 2022, when IZA headlined the party celebrating 25 years of the FENDI Baguette and the reopening of the flagship store at Shopping Cidade Jardim in São Paulo. The singer’s unforgettable performance was the highlight of the evening, which celebrated FENDI in Brazil.

"Foi um momento tão mágico, que com certeza lembrarei para sempre. Nunca imaginei que um sonho, como foi aquela noite, se tornaria realidade. Eu estou muito feliz de oficialmente me tornar parte da família FENDI" , disse IZA.

FENDI and IZA share the ideals of bold creativity and excellence. “What I love most about this opportunity is that we share the same ideals—boldness combined with the preservation of traditions. The brand and I always strive to innovate and rejuvenate,” says IZA. The singer was named by TIME magazine as one of the next generation’s most influential leaders, emphasizing how she has become one of the most important voices against racism in Brazil.

IZA’s achievements are truly spectacular: With over 1 billion views on YouTube and more than 25 million followers on her social media, in 2019 the singer divided her time between the stage—with her new “Dona de Mim” tour launched in August—and hosting “Música Boa Ao Vivo” on Multishow every Tuesday. IZA also served as one of the hosts of “Só Toca Top” that same year, presenting six episodes in rotation with other hosts. On television, she debuted as a coach on The Voice Brasil on TV Globo and has remained for four seasons.

“Dona de Mim” was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the “Best Portuguese Language Pop Album” category. IZA co-wrote “Let Me Be the One” with Maejor for the UN-coordinated “Be The One” campaign, and her song “Evapora” had a music video shot in Los Angeles featuring Ciara and Major Lazer. Additionally, the singer was invited to voice Nala in the Brazilian version of Disney’s classic “The Lion King,” a character originally voiced by Beyoncé.

The singer now joins Sasha Meneghel, who was announced as the first ambassador in 2022. The Maison is delighted to welcome IZA and expand the FENDI family in Brazil.
