Panerai expands its Navy SEALs-inspired collection with new releases

An international collection of watches for modern heroes

Panerai, with its history deeply intertwined with the Italian military, maintains a lasting commitment to creating watches that embody the ideals of challenge, bravery, team spirit and adrenaline. These principles are shared by the legendary Navy SEALs, recognized for their exceptional training and notable achievements in the maritime world, true modern heroes in their own right.

This fusion of values gives rise to a collection of watches that feature diving expertise and sporty attributes, each meticulously developed with the elite military force in mind, serving as a testament to the strength and determination embodied by both Panerai and the Navy SEALs. Whether aimed at a professional diver, a daring adventurer or a connoisseur of sophisticated timepieces, it is the shared passion for pushing the limits of what is possible that inspires this collaboration. For the first time, this limited-edition Navy SEALs collection will be available internationally, following its exclusive launch in the US market.

The highlight of the collection is the Luminor Marina Navy SEALs PAM01412, presented in a 44 mm Brunito steel case. This is a reissue of an iconic Panerai model, with a finish that gives each watch a unique character. Each Brunito steel case is meticulously hand-finished, creating a special look through external processes via PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition). The watch features an anthracite dial with the inscription ‘Navy SEALs’, and the Navy SEALs logo is engraved on the case back. Its high-quality rubber strap is highly resistant to abrasion, oils and corrosive agents, accompanied by a second bi-material strap. The PAM01412 is powered by the automatic P.9010 caliber, offering a three-day power reserve and is a limited edition of 862 pieces.

The collaboration continues with two other references: the Luminor Chrono, PAM01409, with a 44 mm Brunito steel case, and the PAM01419 with a 44 mm Carbotech™ case. The Carbotech structure is designed to enhance both the aesthetic and performance of the material, where fine carbon fibers are compressed at a controlled temperature under high pressure levels, together with the high-quality PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) polymer, making the composite material stronger and more durable.

Both watches feature shaded black dials with the inscription ‘Navy SEALs’ and a target-shaped subdial for the small seconds, as well as a Speed Tachymeter Scale to measure the average boat speed over a defined distance. The crowns and case backs are engraved with the Elite Force logo, and they come with rubber straps and a second bi-material option, similar to the PAM01412. The PAM01409 is powered by the automatic P.9200 Chrono caliber, available in a limited edition of 562 pieces, while the PAM01419 is a limited edition of 462 pieces.

Within the Submersible collection, the Panerai Submersible Navy SEALs is powered by the P.900/GMT caliber, an automatic winding movement equipped with central hour and minute hands, small seconds at 9 o’clock, date at 3 o’clock and a GMT display for a second time zone. Two mainspring barrels store energy, providing a three-day power reserve.

The PAM01323 features a 44 mm steel case and the bezel beautifully contrasts with the shaded black granular dial. The dial is darker at the perimeter than at its center, with gold-yellow markers and details on each hand, the numerals and the date window, ensuring high legibility. The Navy SEALs emblem is engraved on the case back, and the watch is paired with a rubber-coated crown and a black rubber strap, as well as a second bi-material option with a black and gray camouflage pattern inspired by the uniform worn by the Navy SEALs. A tool is included to facilitate strap changes.

For adrenaline seekers, Panerai introduces the PAM01402, the “Experience Edition”: Submersible Chrono Navy SEALs, where all owners will be invited to take part in a dive, a Special Operations Experience. This watch, with a 47 mm Brunito steel case, ceramic bezel insert and a rubber crown, features a shaded black dial with the inscription ‘Navy SEALs’ and a target-inspired small seconds subdial. The Panerai Submersible is equipped with a flyback chronograph function that allows timing events with a single touch, as well as tactical timing for the target, enabling a countdown to a desired moment. The case back is engraved with the elite unit’s logo, and the rubber strap is paired with a second velcro strap inspired by the patches used on military uniforms. The model is powered by the automatic P.9100/R caliber, with a three-day power reserve, and is a limited edition of 50 pieces.

PAM01402 owners will undergo a series of tactical exercises, all designed to challenge participants physically and mentally, encouraging them to push their limits. This will provide a deeper appreciation and understanding of the unit’s heroic efforts. Each Special Operations Experience participant will receive an NFT containing information to support their experience, such as a specific training card, technical information about the watch, a warranty booklet and, finally, the artwork created specifically by the Panerai Studio.

The collection is presented in the new Panerai box, which includes a convenient drawer that houses the booklet and warranty card, as well as a second strap and tools to change them. The new packaging also includes a travel pouch, especially useful for frequent travelers, ensuring that their watch is protected and secure. All references are exclusive to the boutiques.

About Panerai

Founded in Florence in 1860 as a workshop, shop and later a watchmaking school, Panerai supplied the Italian Navy with precision instruments for many decades, especially for its specialized diving corps. The designs developed by Panerai at that time, including the Luminor and Radiomir, were protected by the Military Secrets Act for many years and were only released to the international market after the brand was acquired by the Richemont Group in 1997. Today, Panerai develops and manufactures its movements and watches at its manufacture in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. They represent a perfect combination of Italian design style and historic Swiss watchmaking expertise. Panerai watches are sold worldwide through an exclusive network of authorized dealers and Panerai boutiques.
