Located in an Edwardian mansion on Grosvenor Square, The Twenty Two is a hotel and cultural space dedicated to art and creatives. Opened in April this year, the venue aims to attract people of all ages, but its priority is to make The Twenty Two an attractive and well-frequented destination.
The desire to draw a creative and innovative crowd is no surprise, since Navid Mirtorabi, Jamie Reuben and Darius Namdar, the founding partners, as well as much of the team, are brimming with great ideas.
The venue itself is eye-catching. Exaggerated, maximalist interiors inspired by 18th-century France are part of the décor. With 31 luxurious rooms and suites, The Twenty Two caters to every need, from short stays to extended visits, all conceived and designed by Natalia Miyar, who paid tribute to the grandeur of the extraordinary family home.
Think again if you believe the décor alone makes the hotel a sought-after hotspot. The on-site restaurant offers modern British cuisine with European influences, treating guests to excellent food in a discreet setting. Led by executive chef Alan Christie, the menu embraces minimal intervention and delivers a style that is both bold and light at the same time.
For cocktail enthusiasts, many of the drinks are crafted from original recipes and united by top-quality ingredients and irresistible flavors. It’s worth noting that the restaurant is open 24 hours and offers a variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
And to top it all off, the good news is that those who are not members of the private members’ club can still enjoy certain hotel spaces. The library-style lounge and the basement disco are among the areas available to hotel guests.
