A Love Story Between Whisky and Summer

Royal Salute’s signature cocktail menu celebrates the flavor of Fasanos by the seaside

To toast this magnificent summer with freshness calls for unprecedented and surprising combinations, such as enjoying the Fasano coastal offerings in drinks crafted by those hotels’ mixologists. The alchemy’s main ingredient was the Royal Salute 21-Year-Old Blended Grain, a must-have that brings together the best combination of whiskies with their 21-year-old grains aged in American oak. From this emerges an ephemeral menu—bidding farewell to all the group’s bars when summer departs—approved with flying colors by a select guest list that indulged in the sunset at the rooftop Fasano Itaim last Wednesday, the 21st.

New recipes blend the DNA of the Blended Grain—featuring floral honey notes, soft peaches, and creamy caramel—with refreshing Brazilian ingredients. Fasano and Royal Salute are the kind of collab your palate craves, certain to be satisfied by inventive versions of this versatile spirit. “Our commitment is to create sensory experiences that showcase the nuances of this noble whisky,” emphasizes Ana Paula Limonge, Head of Prestige Marketing at Pernod Ricard Brasil.

So let’s taste Salvador, which inspired the Smash Grain recipe (a fresh mix containing lime juice, ginger syrup, and mint leaves). Next, a pit stop in Trancoso is mandatory to awaken all five senses with The Blended Grain Highball (which also features whisky mixed with lime, this time accompanied by soda and Chambord). In Angra, we cleanse the soul with the Mint Healer (and the name says it all—mint to refresh a lifetime). We conclude the tour by honoring the Madame Carioca with its citrusy sweetness made of lime, vanilla, and pineapple.

Cheers, dear!
